Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Fahd Al- Shuwea said a decision will soon be issued to prevent expatriates from owning more than one vehicle.
He pointed out the General Traffic Department has recently discovered that some expatriates own between 60 and 70 vehicles. He added, it was also discovered five vehicles were registered in the name of a domestic worker.

In some other cases, vehicles were found registered in the name of expatriates although they don’t own a driving licence. He added 164 expatriates were deported for driving without licenses. He stressed, the ministry will not tolerate such serious violations.
